Hi there,

Not from BC, though I love to visit. I am an avid Calgary area waterfowl hunter and retriever owner.

Had a great couple of days and it's a whole week until the next weekend. So I thought I would share my last 2 adventures with you.

Day 1.
This was the second day of the season but my first day out. Pretty slow but very enjoyable hunting. Birds were fast and the shooting was all crossing shots that made for a challenging morning.

My Second day saw a bit more action. I was the only hunter as all my regular partners had left town for other adventures. I had found a great little hold and wanted to shoot it. My wife decided that it was an opportunity to get out and see what this "hunting thing" was all about. She would not come if it were just the guys. She ran the camera for me.

Thanks, The breasts are turning the heads only have a few specks of green on them. The light really shows well of them in the pictures.

Thanks for posting the pics and vids. For quite a few years I would head to Alberta for duck and goose hunting with my brother in law. I used to really love setting up in the dark and then waiting (while hearing the birds all around us) for first light. This has brought back some fond memories and I guess it's time to go back and hunt with my neice's husband now.

We've tonnes of birds and that's just the locals. The migration has not even really hit us yet. This is going to be a great year.

Sweet vid and pics. Giving me the itch as well. I'm heading to Alberta for ducks and geese at the end of October. I do it every year and the amount of birds is truly awesome.
