Happy to pass along my first 'elk' bow kill on the 3rd day of bow season!!
Managed to call in a 5x5 to 38 yards that was hot on a cow. When he responded to my cow calls, the bull turned and took the wrong path ( the right path for me ) and my PSE Evo sealed the deal. 100 grn Montecs and 30'' VAP's had full pass through double lung and the big bull only managed about a 30 yard walk from the point of impact. Lots of grizz in the area, buddy had 1 at 35 yards and I had one at 60 yards last morning , both with cubs, pics and vids to follow.................

FD maybe you can add that pic for me !!

Heard tell of 11 grizz in the Ft Steele area this year... and four wolves that are causing havoc with the ranchers... there are a bunch of traps out watch your steps!

Congrats on the 5x5! I'm jealous!! :-D

i forgot to ask.... howd the vendetta work?

The Leupold Vendetta rangefinder is a great tool and a must have for the avid bowhunter. Even those that are good at yardage, it simply takes the guessing game away , no 2nd guessing , especially in the heart pounding heat of the moment. If you practice with it and trust your equipment it becomes second nature and soon you'll be ranging without even realising it. Great tool imo

How can he, I heard his boss works him to the bone!!!

Awesome Job Rob, must have been so much of a rush. Definitely on my bucket list. For now I just need to find the time to actually hunt.

Lets go for coffee, I want to hear all about it.
