has anyone hunted gable mtn area 8-14 8-15 supposed to be elk and deer in that neck of the wooods

Hunted out, too many folks in that neck of the woods mostly from the Island. The area was great years ago but road accses created lots of pressure. You can drive right up to the alpine! on both sides! I haven't heard of much coming out of the area in the last 10 years and little sign. Quote from a friend who grew up in the area. There was a deer taken off Gable which was typical in the top 10 of the BC record book. I believe his last name was Quiring?

John..I hunted gable last year..Lots of Elk in that area but to find a six point is the trick..Good chance for a small moose( i took one close to there 2 yrs ago) and still some very nice deer but you must know where to go....Its like most spots you need to spend lots of time in the area to find the deer...most guys come back year after year.
