I'm heading up to Zone 5-02 B (100-mile-house north to quesnel lake) this coming week in hopes of filling my LEH tag for a bull moose. Problem is, I know very little about good areas to locate moose in that rather large area in spite of hours spent on Google Earth and attempts to locate up-to-date forest cover maps. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm especially interested in areas that were recently logged or in the process of being logged. So far I'm considering the area between Horsefly Lake and Quesnel Lake, areas near the Horsefly River and, farther south, the Hendrix Rd area just north of Canim Lake. I prefer walking to vehicle hunting but with so large and area and so little local knowledge I'm afraid I will wind up driving around aimlessly.
