First of the new season

Never thought I`d be waterfowling in 31c weather. We walked where we were in boats last year. It turned out pretty good though. Three Sandhills, two Canadas, and one Mallard for myself.

Four adults and two teens( one a girl of 16). They had a blast and managed a few birds themselves. All toll it was six Canadas, seven Sandhills, and three Mallards. Some people left before a group photo could be made.

Didn't know Sandhill Cranes were OK to hunt. Do they taste as good as a mallard or a widgeon?
