anyone have any inside info on Hwy 37 closure and when it is expected to re-open?
I saw the photos of the washout and it doesn't look too bad, appears to be where it usually washes out....
...supposed to be heading that way tommorrow a.m. for our annual sheep and caribou hunt, like a kid before christmas today...
might head that way anyway and wait it out...drive bc doesn't exactly provide too much helpful info with regards to expected opening.

DriveBC is about the most reliable source of information that you're going to get unless the Highway Genie appears.

Just did a nice detour from Tatogga up through Watson lake and down the alaska highway because of the washouts on 37. Nothin like adding an extra couple thousand kms to the fuel bill :)

I too, just finished the same drive. I was amazed at all the road work still being done from Dawson Creek to Mcleod Lake, sure adds quite a few extra hours to the drive following the pilot cars.
