Took my 74 year old dad on a fly in moose hunt a couple weeks back. Here are some photos of our journey.....

hey Tarcher, ya we saw a half dozen or so a day but nothing legal. i know my pictures make it look nice and sunny, but it actually rained and was socked in for all nine days except for about 10 hours over that time. didnt get up into the higher country because of it.

Thanks Everett. Ya hes doing good for an old timer. I feel blessed I can still share these experiences with him. Believe to say you and your women were in at our original destination!!! You definetely know what the weather was like up there over that time. wet, wet, wet

I will throw a extra wet in and Don't forget the snow but hell it was wet to. Sorry we poached your lake but from your pics you were in a pretty sweet spot.

Congratulations on a great trip with pops! He looks like a super chap.

It's been many years since I've done a fly in hunt with my pop (coincidently 74 yrs old this yr). Might be time to do it again before it's too late.

Man your dad is lucky. A fly in moose hunt up in the northern area is on my bucket list, but I doubt I will ever be able to afford it. What beautiful country in those pics. Glad you had a safe and successful trip.

never did get the chance to get over for that coffee and chat. between the tat fly in and the dease fly in with a couple weeks of work thrown in the middle i just ran out of time. if your out my way stop on in, the coffee pot is always on

Congrats on your Hunt and thanks for the great pics. It takes time to put a post together with pics and it is appreciatted. I love the saying on Bruces plane about eating Moose and 12000 wolves cant be wrong..

Good for you. As said many times, what great memories. Great pictures, and I've seen your Dad's pictures here at the Cove and they are great as well. Makes one want to be there. He's still pretty stoked! Heard lots of good stories as well.

Great Pics! Looks like you had a great trip...too bad about the weather. Your Dad was telling me about your planned trip earlier in the summer when I was out visiting my parents at the Cove (see Richardj above). Glad you had a good time!

One member commented that your Dad is lucky to have gone on the trip and he is correct but I think you are the luckiest to be able to share that with him.
I think that type of hunt would be tough enough for much younger hunters ,so Your Dad being out there is awesome ,he must be one tough dude.

Thats great you and your Dad went hunting together. I bet at night your Dad was telling you some good stories of the old days.
