We leave at 4:00 am from the Island.
Hoping the warm weather doesn't throw things off too much!

Back early. Didn't see a single moose and not many deer. It was 30 degrees during the day. 8 at night. No one was seeing a thing out there. Gunna have to settle for an Island deer this year I guess.

it is hot and dry , however the creeks are high and dangerous..rivers etc.,....moose are hiding up high or along creeks ..not any rut action....

only creature moving was a big ol grizzly chewing on a horse carcass @ 30-40 km out the Nemiah valley rd..and a scrawny young black bear wandering the berry patches today..

They are out there saw 5 on saturday in region five including this one.

Which part of region 5? We were in 5-2 A by 100 mile house. Saw a bear, doe's, wolf and one buck. Checked out every cut block, marsh and lake. Hunted 14 hrs a day by quad truck and on foot. My hunting partners get one every year but in 5-d usually.

thats a good size Moose would suite my LEH but wrong region

saw 2 bulls together in 5-2 by 100 Mile yesterday during the heat of the day. They came out to a lake I was fishing at, saw me and were gone..pretty spooky...probably already had a few shots zing passed their heads maybe!! Finding water and sitting on it would be the best suggestion for finding one imo..
