My father and I shot this mule deer two years ago around PG I was just wondering if anyone could estimate what it would score. I have been tossing around the idea for a while let me know if you think it would be worthwhile or not. The only measurements I have are I got 25 inches wide (from the widest straight across shot I could find) and 20 inches tall skull to top (this one is a little rough but it might help give an idea)

See if you can get anything from these pics, I tried to get shots from the side cause there are a couple of little points on the tops on each side.

A wild guess, from the first picture I'd say, 140 I'm not a scorer but a second guess 144 maybe, nice lookig rack, no doubt about that, you PG Boys know what hunting is all about. PG rocks

From the photo's, I am going with 155-160 typical "net" after deductions.

He has a nice frame but short fronts and backs and no eye guards. The buck loses alot on uneveness and the non-typical points.

Photos are always tough.

my buddy had one scored and it was 24 wide - very tall tines - close to that one it appears and it was 150... hard to tell from pix but looks close to his...

The pics are hard to judge but it looks like it should gross in the 160's as a Nontypical.

Yeah I kind of wish it didn't have those extra points on the top, but then again I think they kind of look cool.

I figure around 150-160. I do have to ask though, did you shoot it an then loose it for awhile. The head looks kind of beat up, like it has sat in the bush for a couple of weeks. The hide is riped and it has no eyes. Also the horns have a kind of weathered, white look to them. Just curious is all.

I would say he would go low 160's gross score, net around low 150's as a typical.

If I was hunting and I came upon that buck ......

In the split second sometimes needed to judge the rack as a shoot or not shoot would be........

noguardsforkstooshort....yawn..........

Its done and keep looking for a bigger one.

Over time, it gets to a point where you will instantaneously know whether you're looking at a big buck or not.

Easier said then done:lol: In that split second to judge I would have sh%# my pants, droped my binoculars twice and tried to stop shaking long enought to take the shot.

I'm with the general concensus, somewhere in the low 160's. Not overly heavy, a little lost for the sticker points and uneveness, not the longest tines. Still not a bad deer, better than a lot of guys will see this year.

After we butchered him I took the head wrapped it in a tarp and stuck it behind my garage for a couple years. Thats what it looked like a couple months ago when I took it out, I wonder if I can still get it bleached and european mounted.

Should clean up Nicely after the skin and whats left of the hide is scraped off.
FWIW: I've seen Euro Mounts done from "old kills" that cleaned up Nice and look awesome......except for the chew marks:lol:

I'd say it's a low 150's deer with the lack of browtines and not overly heavy. I doubt it would qualify for non-typical scoring as it doesn't appear to have at least 10 inches of abnormal points. It is a nice character deer, and I'd be happy to get one like him!

No idea of score........But I know that I'd drop him in half of a heart beat.

Thats awesome I love my trikes. They really pi$$ a lot of my friends off when I beat them through tough spots on there $10000 fourwheelers. If you can ride your trike good it will go a lot of places.
