PLANS for the Opener???

What are your plans for the Opening Weekend boys???

I'm gettin' too old & busy and haven't been shootin' my bow... :icon_frow , but I am psyched about the rifle opener & will be squealin' my sleaziest cow talk just below treeline at first light... Can't wait! Hopefully more than Mr. Grizz responds this time.

set up camp sept 9th and then have a bit of a sleep, wake up 1 or 2 in the am, hike a couple hours in the dark sleep a bit on the dirt, wake up just before light and start the calling, return to camp that night in the dark, repeat until there is a dead elk

Everything for camp has already been hiked in. Hike in on the 9th and set up camp. Leave camp in the morning and drop one on the Opener. At least that's how we usually do it :)

softball tourney and company golf tourney all weekend so probably no hunting for me..

I'll be camping at Bolean lake with some friends, probably just bringing the 20g single for ditch chickens...

Hunting sunday in my usual spot hopefully.

Alpine with my wife hoping for her to get her first mulie.

Going out after the 10th year 911 ceremonies on the 11th. Should be on the trail by 2pm for an evening hunt. Wife packing the shotgun for road chickens.
Lookout 4 points or better mulies.

Booked the week off.
Head to the cabin on the 9th,crew to arrive later in the evening.
Pound the bush hard for the opening 5 days.
With any luck,the younger fella's can pull the trigger.

Plan to try to get a whitetail deer and a elk and shoot me some coyotes.

shoot the bow a little. my mother arrives for her anual trip out from ontario tomorrow for two weeks.

Camping trip baby about 2-3 trailers about 5 trucks few quads n about 8 of us.

Sun screen + a cold beer upper 20's to low 30's hate having to fight off the blow flies + hornets
