Hello,

I am new to BC (Fernie) and this will be my first year hunting here. I have my core training done and have my hunting license, but I'm not sure where I can go hunting around here. I really just want to go get some grouse.

Can someone tell me how I can find out where I am allowed to hunt?

When I lived in Alberta I used to hunt mostly on crown land, can I do the same here?

just head up any logging road, I am sure you shouldn't have any issues finding grouse around there

Buy yourself a back roads map book for your area. Years ago l worked oil rigs down in the Flathead Valley south of Fernie.........some of the nicest back country BC has to offer and there was just about every critter listed in regs in there. Also HUGE dollies in the rivers.

I am out of area for most of the next month but if you pm your PH# I will try and call you and explain your local area.
Pretty much every road that is gravel out of fernie is crown land excluding Island lake lodge land.
