My Zeiss binoculars gave up the ghost (foggy like a ghost in one lense) after 25 wonderful years of use and I am now looking at getting something else. I've read about the Bushnell 1600 which is a binocular and a range finder. Does anyone have any experience with them?

My present set is a 7X which is excellent for quick viewing but I noticed that the 1600 only comes as a 10X or a 12X. I have a concern that they may be hard to hold and focus because of the magnification. I would appreciate any comments about them and any recommendations. Thanks.

only tried them on the sidewalk out in front of the shop. Binocular seemed alright for clarity and brightness, but what really impressed was the rangefinder. 1500 yards on a spruce tree, amazing

I have a 1600 ARC rangefinder (not the bino model) and it's truly a wicked piece of gear. Too bad its a bit bulky or else it'd be a 10/10

Do you have the 10X or 12X binoculars and how have they been for holding them steady for viewing?

I've got the Scout 1200 ARC rangefinder, works well for all distances that I'd shoot at, and less bulky than the 1600.
If the specs on the Fusion binos are similar to the Elite line then they'd be a winner. 10X tops if you have steady hands.

Have you tried asking Zeiss to check them out?

Send the Zeiss's back.

A buddy had the bushnell binos with the built in ARC rangefinder. While the glass is just bushnell the combo is can't be beat for practical purposes.
He does a lot of archery so he loves them.

If we could do it all over again..........

Time to give the much vaunted "Zeiss Warranty" a try out, they're supposed to be one of the best.
