I don't know if this is the proper place to put this thread, but i was wondering where i could purhase high quality backpacking maps with a really detailed scale in vancouver? any ideas?

MEC carries a good selection of topo maps.

Around the World Maps in New West,667 Columbia st,604-525-4022 ,he has pretty much anything you will need !

Thanks for the input guys, real help, Ill check out mec tomorrow, but i doubt ill have a chance to get to the other ones though. thanks alot though guys!

another idea is if you can find the map you want online, a printing store can print out any size you desire. I have been getting maps for my upcoming adventure this way. A 24x36" black and white costs a whopping $2, color is $9. I get most of my maps from the MOE websites.

the one in richmond is "International travel maps and books". They have all the maps you will ever need

Where are you getting your maps done at?
Staples wants like 6 bucks for a 24"x36", I need about 10 and was thinking $20 is better than $60...
