couple years ago, in late fall a Grizz was walking the hwy 97 north, just ouside PG city limits, there is a dumpy RV park and auto repair shop near where the Grizz was walking the yellow line, lol

Thats the sort of bear that makes big guns a wise choice . Looks pretty heavy but I'm no expert .

That's a dandy Grizzly for sure. I wouldn't call him that young. His ears look pretty darned small on that pumpkin of his. Beautiful colors too.

was that fellow between tabor ski hill and purden? Travel that stretch every week either to or from prince in the early mornings and have seen a griz twice in the sme area, he or she didn't stick around for long. Great pics.

lol...

look at the first side profile..and look @ the length of the head only from nose to just behind the ears..rear tip of the skull above the forman magnum...judge the length of that head..now how many more of those heads can you fit behind that one to the rear end of the bear...average length of a interior G bear skull=??
look at the front on facial structure is the nose longish?? or fat and short?? does it look like a baby labs nose? or a adult female labs nose??
are the ears still on top or are they off the side??

does the bears head go wider than the shoulders?? or narrower?? from frontal photo...

does the head look attatched to the body?? or is there an obvious neck??
what does such a "puffy" facial hair tell you..for the time being forget the raggy summer rubbed coat..

does the front end look bulky from frontal photo ..massive with obvious bulky shoulders..any evidence of turned in shoulders / elbows??..

coming off the front shoulders what does the back do?? straight back..straight line?? or some sway..or deeply sagging back??

and the rear end big and massive or normal proportions??

easiest is the actual size of the ears..not just the placement...

then answer all the questions..seperatly and put together each answer and then what does all the obvious evidence point to.....

cheers

Steven

Thats a beauty grizz. Was coming out of northwood pulp one night after a shift on a shutdown and a grizz went across the road about halfway up the hill and with his stride he took up a whole lane. Seen quite a few between PG and mackenzie. Saw a bull moose last year between there that I had to look out my window and up to see the top his head. I was in my superduty on 35s. He came out of the sticks and rand down the road beside the truck.

I was going to check out the trail cam. I had a gun with me but he just tried to get in the bush and never came near me.

Let you folks know that a black bear at a distance with his head down lower than his body will give it a pronounced hump like a Grizzly. Many a man has been wrong in different circumstances.
