I highly recommend you pick up one of the Smith ''Pocket Pal'' knife sharpeners-lightweight,effective and cheap-got mine from Bass Proshops for $6.its about the size of a folder,has a diamond spike file on one side and ceramic and carbide ''V'' blades on the other.Handiest pocket sharpener I've ever had

I'm a sucker for gadgets most of which don't live up to expectations-this one does.Its sure handy to be able to touch up your knife when it loses its edge.I was cleaning pinks and the guy next to me was trying to fillet his with a dull knife so I loaned him my sharpener to touch his up and he was impressed-nothing beats a sharp knife-and hey for 6 bucks-you can't lose
