I got a couple sockeye last night but no springs. A few guys pulled in some nice springs when I just got there, but it was all sockeye for the rest of the night.

I picked up a nice #20 white spring on monday while trying for sockeye. Unfortunately no picks and it's in the shop getting smoked at the moment.

got 4 on monday and 8 sockeye, thats between four guys, and it only took about 2.5 hours to get them, seems to be almost as many springs as sockeye at certain bars, also forgot camera at home. Biggest spring was about 22lbs smallest about 15, although we did see someone hook a monster that spooled him after about a 10 minute battle, it looked to be well over 30.

Let me help you...

This one was caught last Sunday:

I passed this one to my fishing/hunting buddy on Saturday. It acted like a sockeye when I hooked it, so I just handed him the rod. Kind of a mistake on my part! Ha ha!

Here's a little one from the week before.. I already posted about it in a different thread.

There's only one way to catch fish like this - get your ass off the computer and get out on the river!!

We're you in the lower or upper Fraser.
I took the kids out near Fort Langley today. Lots of fish on the finder but no action. We did see a dinosaur breach 20' off the back of the boat. Big one too!!

My Son and his Wife and Kid's have being doing great with the Sockeye, not a Spring story, But, 2 evenings ago they were fishing the river when my Son's wife screamed"Spring On!" Everyone watched when the rod tip hit the water and 100 pound braided line started to sing! The "Spring" jumped out of the water with around 75 yards of line gone, it was a 5 foot Sturgeon! My Son ran over as fast as he could trying to help her with this monster, and as the line kept screaming off the reel, all's he could do was cut the line! He said it was in a good current and would have taken every inch of line, and maybe the rod and reel so cutting the line was the right thing to do, wish I was there to see that! Hope they keep the river open for a few more weekends, would love to get a few Fish in the freezer too!

Hey Dave that bar we fished last year is easier to get to. Just fish the north side of that bar.......

Call me and we can talk about it..............

Ive only caught 2 springs this year so far but didn't take any pics. One around 14lbs and one about 18lbs. If there not over 30 i don't take pics anymore. Unless of course my kids catch them.

I was up at Laidlaw. There's a lot less guys out there compared to the gong show last year. I'll be back up there tonight after work!

I went to hope last weekend to try my luck at the sockeye, in attempts of putting some fresh fish in the freezer, Saturday was a very slow day for me I landed 1 sockeye and lost a beauty spring. This meant Sunday I was determined to land more fish as I didnt want to return to kelowna with only 1 sockeye! it didnt take long on sunday and me and my 2 buddies had our 6 sockeye on the beach and I had a 17lb spring, the trip was well worth it and im heading down again this afternoon for the weekend.

Nice fish, Sakofinnlight. I know that snaggy spot quite well. Somewhere I have a picture of six of us and six springs from there. That was before anyone else used to fish it.

I picked up a 10lb white spring last Saturday and we lost another larger one out in the boat. On Thursday we landed 15 and 18lb red springs as well as 5 sockeye. I had another spring on and lost it and probably hit another one that I snapped my rod on when I tried to set the hook. I knew it was going to happen as I had repaired a break after last year and it had an angle at the join instead of a curve. It was only a matter of time.
We will probably join the hordes for a while tomorrow after chores are done. Pictures haven't been dumped on the computer yet.

There's a few pics in this album (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.214313881944868.52325.131791113530479) of some of the sox, chinooks, pinks & sturgeon that we've managed out of the Fraser so far this year. Nothing real big so far but we've still got a few trips left ;) !
