All the elk in the valley are gone! Disappeared... I think they are all headed north to the cooler regions.:-D

Seriously though, if I wasn't so biased I would tell you to come down here. It's been getting frosty in Sparwood already. I expect some Elky behaviour to start soon.

Be ready for bears, as we had a standoff with a griz yesterday on the way to the trail cam.

Hunt with a friend, that's half the fun.

Hunting with an old friend AND for elk? Doesn't get any better than that.

the only reason im second guessing the trip is the $$$$ factor from traveling from peachland to sparwood......

go on the trip, besides your local deer season only gets better as the season moves along and there is lots of hunting that can be done on day trips, on weekends or even after work for an hour or so

I my self would take the opportunity to hunt elk with an old friend. Then I would take my weekends as I could and hunt deer and bear. Old friends are hard and few to come by and old friends that hunt elk are even harder to come by.

I would go, do the trip with your friend. Wouldn't want to miss that opportunity. Like someone else said, you have great daytrip hunting in your back yard.
