Cougar spotted today

While driving the truck up the F.S.R. type road at work today I caught a quick glimpse of what looked to be a fairly large cougar, very cool. This is only the second time I've ever seen one before, definitely made my day. Sorry no pictures, it was gone before I even had a chance to think about snapping a photo. Hopefully I'll see it around again so I can get a picture but I doubt it.

Rather see them on or near FSR's rather than Squamish, they've been all around town these past few weeks, CO's were trying to hunt one down by Alice Lake but never got it.

Apparently a couple Cougar were spotted near Sheridan Lake two weeks ago, the four-legged variety.... :-D

There's no shortage of cougars (4-legged) between Sheridan Lk - Bridge Lk to Horse LK and Forest Grove, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a mule deer around there!

It's something else to see one in the wild! I've only ever seen two. One in the miidle of nowhere northern Van Isle and one MONSTER Tom by the Husky gas station in whistler!

We got a cougar on a trail cam about 25km from kamloops... pretty cool!

3 years ago I had one come under my tree stand in a Sept. elk hunt. It stopped and looked right up at me from 11 paces away. Made my trip.

I was golfing with my dad on Christina lake golf course and there was a cougar just off the fairway in the bush eating a wt deer that it had taken down. We were putting and it was about 70-80 yrds away from us chowing down. It was clearly the most exciting moment the sport of golf has ever seen! and a situation i'm sure i'll never see again.

I saw a big cougar up East Harrison FSR this spring. First sighting for me n bro..it was pretty exciting.

Cats freak me out, last year my Son and I were walking an FSR then we walked back to the truck, got in and headed down the road we had just walked. When we came around the first curve there was two cougars standing pretty much in our footprints. As soon as they saw the truck they jumped straight into the trees and the branches were flapping at about 10ft high. Wow, only sighting i've ever had and saw two. They must have been sizing us up for dinner.

Nice picture! They really are a beautiful animal, I wish I saw more of them. I saw a lynx at work two winters ago as well, that was pretty special.

I saw 2 at once sitting in the middle of Philpott FSR at about km 10. It was cool.

Two weeks ago I had the family hiking in the Flathead and we had one cross the trail about 20 feet in front of us. Our youngest is 9 and she was a little freaked out. We had just adopted a 11 yr old spaniel and the stupid thing wouldn't come when called.......I thought for sure that the cat was going to take him but we formed up a tight unit with the little ones in the middle and continued on our way. My 15 yr old son was stoked on the siting, his second now.

I have only see one chowing down on a cow in regon 8:14 . Seen the cow laying dead just off the road when two ears and black bearded face looked up . Took some pics (the X has them ) I was going to blast it but she wouldnt let me I figured I might get charged also and it was the ranches responsability not mine was July
