Hook size

i bought 2 blue fox vibrafox thingies for some river fishing while on vacation but the siwash hook they give you seems to be too large for trout. What would the recommended size be? and what size would i want if i wanted river pinks?

The Jigs we make for Pink Salmon are 1/0 Barbless hooks, there 1/4 ounce Jig heads and painted with powder paint and there all nice and shiny Hot Pink!

Pinks like to bite small hooks, on flys, i can get away with size 8 pretty easily, on a jig, maybe 4 or the next one down.
