Grouse population this season?

with all the crappy weather we have had this spring and summer:evil: what do you think the ditch chicken hunting will be like this season? Last couple of years have been real good but i havent seen many at all this year.:cry:

I've seen a few up here , not tons but there out there . Saw a few bunnies too , more so than last year . Up by fountain lake I saw a nice blue sitting by the side of the road , right before the rez , up in the rutherford I heard ruffies doing there calls while scouting a few hundred meters above the valley .
I'll take a few if the oppurtunity presents , but with all the deer I've seen and heard about I think I'll lay off the small game and try for a big kill this year {let the birds recover a bit }.
Anyone think its a little f@cked that theyre not doing a new synopsis this year , what with the huge difference in weather and therefore animal populations .

big bar lake has a heathy flock of grouse this year, we could have came hope with are limit plus some.

Took two yesterday afternoon {weds} , which is usually what I'd get in a good afternoon . Got one on the fsr , the other was my first kill completely on foot . That one on foot was awsome , I've had a ton of luck road hunting for birds , but it felt so good to get out of the truck , creep up a grown over deactivated road and pop one the old fashioned way . I think I'm converted .

Not the best for grouse on the coast, I see maybe 3-4 a week. haven't got a crack at one yet though

we saw a family of around 8 last night.. got two.

i saw a ton around kelowna .not too much else but cant say grouse population is hurting in that area

lot's up in the central interior. surprised because of the late wet spring, went out sunday and got 4 ruffed had a dozen or more that where faster than I was
