If you had the choice would your dream buck be a typical or non typical !

Typical 200 inches or better with MATCHING drop tines. You did say dream buck right.

The freakier the better, stickers, kickers, drop tines.... However a symetrical whitetail 4x4 going over 160" looks great but wouldnt be my dream buck

1ST. choice,
Non- Tippy for me, Junk all over the place, knarley, heavy, like an 8 X 11 , 32 inches wide, 28 high, or .... well ok ........ even bigger, just a nasty looking old bugger !

But yes a common, a HUGE typical would please me too, 33 wide, 14 inch forks, 4x4 or 5x5 would even make me happy....... some time in what years I have left.

I have never laid eyes on any thing remotely close to the above descriptions while in open season.

Dream buck....???? who said theres just one dream buck I think I would want one that gnarly with mass and character. Second is a wide tall typical 4x4 and third and forth would be similliar to 1 and to but like bowzone said in velvet. Now if this thread was about elk it would be a totally diferrent story... I would want a 400 class 7x7 just a beast.

personally i like to keep my dreams a little smaller a 180 typical mulie buck, taken spot and stalk with archery tackle. If I can ever achieve that then mabye somthin bigger (but still typical). If I can ever do that he is goin straight onto the wall

Anything similar to Jamie York's non typical monster that scored 242 1/8. The thing is a beast. Thick from the bases to the tips. I like it more than any other buck in the Trophy Deer of BC book. His friend Dan is a member on here and has the photo in the gallery but I cannot find it. Yes, I have a dream.

WT - heavy beams, typical and birdcage. Brow tines straight. red/brown antler colour.
mulie - REAL heavy, typical, and wide. chocolate brown.
I love the thick rut neck, white throat patches, and the pressed, mean looking eyes from a calloused skull.

I just like BIG BUCKS! I do seem to have a leaning towards big ol' trashy nontypicals, but a monster typical certain gets my blood going as well. My ultimate dream buck would be a 220 inch framed nontypical with mass from hell, matching 12 inch cork screw double droppers, 40 inches wide cheater to cheater, inlines, palms and cheaters coming out of all dirrections. Just your basic 300 incher is all. :) When I dream, I like to dream big!

100% typical All the way... I like the perfect symmetry, and big... If there was a 200" non-typical and a 170 Typical Mulie side by side... The typical would be shot first!

That is the dream buck, I would shoot a non-typical but, I would have to see what it looked like to see if it would go on the wall!

I hunted several of those bucks for multiple years. The tall typical in the snow is the same buck as the inline buck in snow. I killed him a couple years later. He was a 199 6/8 gross NT 7x7.

The big ol' palmated NT in the snow I chased for 6 years. I have several sets of sheds off of him. The year in the pics was his best year at 225 gross NT. I killed him a couple years later. He was a regressed ol' warrior that went 202 gross NT.

The heavy and wide velvet NT I also hunted for several years but never seen hide nor hair of him during the season. The last year he cleaned up and was a solid 200 inch typical that was over 37 inches wide. I did manage to luck into his sheds from that year. Too bad I didn't find them before the rodents did. When it comes to dream typicals, I still dream about this buck. Figure he became catscat shortly after shedding out that year. Sure would love to run into one of his sons.
