Just bottled up a couple batches of moose milk:-D needs to sit in the fridge for a few weeks, will be ready just in time for our group moose hunt. Makes the morning coffee all that much better!
1cup heavy cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups irish whiskey (i use tullamore dew but any ol plunk will do)
1 teaspoon instant coffee
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
blend it all together for 30sec and store in tightly sealed container in the fridge. Lasts for 2 months or till your buddy's come over...

You should hook up with Tim Horton's. That would be a hit in the morning.

I have never heard of such a concoction. I'll have to make some and try it. Is it like home made Irish cream?

I make a similar one but I cut out the almond extract as it made it taste like marzipan.

Sounds great! But why do you let it sit for a few weeks? Wouldn't it go bad?

I'd skip the instant coffee and add a cup of Kahlúa.

We used to make "Moose Milk" in residence at University way back when... It was nothing like this though. It was whatever you had ent into a 5 gallon bucket and we all drank it. good times.

Speaking of Moose Milk, the following recipe was from my Navy Days......

rbduck,

Every now and then while alongside, the Moose is still turned loose onboard Canadian Warships :-D. And that recipe is still used

Ron, nice to see they`re still doing that. I was in when we still "drew our tot". That was some mighty fine rum.

We did much the same in the Army...used ice creme, Baileys and Dark rum....When we were in England shooting against the brits, they loved it when we won a major shoot as then the CQ would concockt this brew...Lol..They loved it(as did we).....we used black water cans on ice to store ....and usually poured it into a large silver trophy....great times

Nothing like a little moose milk in the camp coffee to warm you up in the morning and get you pumped for the day.

Cheers

Is it anything like the "Moose Milk" professionally bottled. I got some as a gift years ago. I think it was bought in Sask.

Is there a reason that you have to let it sit for a few weeks or is it just sitting because your not going hunting for a few weeks? Would like to make some today and have it at the specialty coffee bar at my brothers wedding reception tonight.
