Region 5-02B Whitetails?

Will be hunting moose up in 5-02b in mid Oct (shared hunt for two bulls:mrgreen:) and am wondering how the deer population is in that general area as well (from around Forest Grove north to the Eagle/Spout Lakes). Friends of my Dads usually do well for mulies, but have never heard them mention whitetails. Are they few and far between up there?
I know mid October is a bit early for the big bucks (mulie or whitetail), but will have tags for both just in case a dumb one pokes his head out.

hmm 2areas for Whitetail..by Horsefly..and north between Wildwood and Mcleese lake..hint think POWERLINES..

Thanks for the info. Haven't been up in that area for 20+ years and am really looking foreward to the trip. Hopefully come home with a moose (or 2) this time!!

Finally saw Whitetails in 5-04 this year. I'm sure you will have more in 5-02.
