For all you speed freaks... just read an interesting article about increasing your bow speed with brass nocks... Chrono your bow then place a brass nock on each end of your bow string 3inchs from each cam(safely out of the way of the cam). Chrono again, continue to chrono and add brass nocks equally to each end till the speed decreases. Remove the last nocks that cause the decrease. The author of the article has gained up to 6fps this way.

Adding accessories near the middle of the string will cause a decrease in speed but near the end will increase speed to a certain amount.

Has anyone tried this method before? Cheap and easy way to get a few more fps.

yep ... most new bows have them installed ...my Elite actually has rubber "Speed Balls" with the first one placed 4.5 inches from the axle .....

alot of trial and error is involved .... Pse has about a dozen speed balls on the string depending on the model

you can see them well on this link

The ones that come on the string factory installed, should they be adjusted? After changing the draw length or weight for instance.
