My hunting partner and I purchased two trail cameras and set them up in a very promising location we scouted out last season. After three weeks we went up to check on them and we had about 90 pics in total of deer on our cameras. From the time and dates on the camera they look to hang around that location for quite some time but what I'm wondering is why if the deer have been there for some time, why we couldn't see any other sign that they were there like droppings etc?.

It could just be a travel corridor where they move from feeding to bedding areas. Usually you see droppings and beds in or near feeding and bedding areas.

They're secretly picking them up and putting them in their pockets just to mess with you. You think they don't know the camera is there?!?

I've had my trail cameras in similiar situatons with no droppings around. Prolly just a travel corridor.

What i think is deer only $hit in some areas. When I see $hit it is all over, like a pile every 10 to 20 feet.

I know where the deer move and i never see crap on the trail. I know where they eat and there is crap everywhere.

A deer craps every 6 hours or so and they have four feet, they can make a lot of tracks in a short time. And lots of little piles of raisins.

It's like humans when you eat you have to go to the bathroom, deer eat and lay down to chew their cud. Then after chewing and digesting when resting by bedding they have a dump when they head out along the trail to go back to the diner. Then you drink, and so the deer drink too. Where ever you find trails crisscrossing coming and going you will find a water source.
Jela peeno .. Trails lead to the animal hide-outs but fade as they fan out to confuse the predators.

I never see scats at my baiting stations ether what I think is they don't crap at these baiting stations because it might attract some predators ???? ..
