Couple of Kooteny elk

These 2 were taken over the past few years by a friend of mine. The 9x9 scored in at 395 and the 7x6 i dont know. Sorry for the shitty pictures. They came from my phone.

Very nice elk.... but 395"? I'd have to question that.

They aren't a head mount because he doesn't care about the size. I wanted to snap a pic of the 7x7 he took with a crossbow but he mounted them in his business. Again, no head mount. Just the antlers. The 7x7 grossed 385 and netted 371 I believe. You can question the score all you want. It took some friends and I a year to convince him to get them scored. That 395 is also a gross. Their net is eluding me at the moment.

Hey, don't get me wrong, it's a great elk, and maybe it's just the angle of the photo (I know you did say it was from your phone). I'm sure it is even more impressive in person. But, to me, (from your photo)it looks like around 330 typical with about 25 inches of non- typical points. Being generous, about 360 gross.

I dunno what to say. It was scored at 395 gross. It has a ton of mass to it. I'm 6'3" and can palm a basketball. There's many spots on those antlers that my fingers don't touch my thumb.
