Region 6-17 help!

I've just moved up to this area and been looking at the back road maps. It doesn't really seem like there are many FSR to take you far enough back coming from stewart side.

Does anyone know what the terrain is like?

Sounds like you moved to Stewart? You are right in 6-17 there aren't a lot of roads but there is some area you can access around the Bell Irving. If you go south of Meziadin junction a ways there is some good access into both 6-16 and 6-30. The Bell Irving is rough and brushy with a lot of devils club farther south isn't as bad.
