Anyone know where I can get G5 pre-season Montec broadheads on the south island or the LML? These are the dull ones used for practice. I can get them mail order from the states but mailing charges is about 25-30% of the cost of the broadhead and time for delivery is usually about 2 or more weeks. I have been looking on web sites for local dealers but can't find any that have the pre seasons listed.

I think Cabela's has them in Edmonton... opens tomorrow!!! They usually have reasonable shipping... as in free after a certain amount.

any place that sells the montecs would have em .... boormans? I am not sure if Vantage deals in G5 or not ... one reason I dont like the montecs ... all other G5 products come with practice blades now

worse comes to worse you could sacrifice one and sharpen it later

I would think that a couple site sponsors here that are not in the LML would have them in stock as well ... Omineca/Troutfitters ... Hardcore ... as they regularly peruse the site

Have you tried Island Outfitters here in Victoria?

I'd be very surprised if they don't carry them.

Another thought - if you're sold on Montecs - why not get another pack or two and dedicate one of them for practice?

I've had good luck with the Montecs so wasn't thinking about changing. I am currently using a couple old ones I have for practice but thought I would try to get a pack of the pre-seasons so I don't have to retrieve my points after only two shots.

Mountain Man, I'm looking for the 125 grain. You going to place any more orders with your supplier in the next couple weeks?

Thanks all for the info. I'll give Wholesale a call and see what they have. It's a long drive out but would make a nice day trip. There is always something expensive there I can look at.
