My wife, my 11 month old son ayden and I left home for 3 days on a scouting adventure. We drove for about 7 hours east before deciding we were in the right area for what we wanted. We setup shop & went out on the quad to scout out for new hunting area options before season opening. Here's what we found.

Lets just say it was a good trip for my son and wife as it was very enjoyable to get out and breath in some country air and see new sights.

We drove into a huge cut block that must of had either a controlled burn or nature doing it's thing.

These shots were in dead of night. We heard some thing but couldn't figure it out so we started snapping off photo's in the area of the noise.

^Nice buck. I would take that shot, especially if I could pick him up from that road over there.

I was flying down the highway just outside of Williams Lake on the weekend (july 30th) and spotted antlers popping out of the grass. Seen this nice 4x4... I know the picture sucks but I only had my phone on me at the time for a picture. The night before I had seen another 4 point in the area but I had caught him in my headlights... hopefully I can figure out where these guys hide this fall so I can figure out where they will die.

Nice day's adventure.

Oh for sure it was a blast.

My wife has never been in the actual deep deep bush camping before always camp sites she calls that camping hehe. This was her first adventure into what I do every year the actual bush. After she saw a few huge bears on the way through the bush she was really scared as we were going to be sleeping in a tent while camping. But after some reassuring that with how our camp was situated and a fire going through out the night and no food smells/food lying around and a gun beside our bed and how I would do my best to ensure we were taken care of she quickly forgot about the bears and relaxed and enjoyed the trip and the scouting. It was a blast to see the excitement on my little boys face when we went quadding and watched all the animals. And the smiles on my wifes face because we haven't had a trip out together on the quad since our boy was born so it's been a long time coming for us.

It will forever be engraved in my memory this trip as it was my son and wifes first actual bush trip. I'll be 80 years old rocking in my rocking chair and my kids will think im crazy because I'll have a permanent grin on my face from ear to ear recalling memories....lol

Thanks
we just bought it it's a rebel t3i and we also bought the telephoto lense that zooms in really nicely from far away as we are hunters so we cant walk up to them so a zoom lense is really nice to have. We are still figuring it out but for sure its a pretty good camera. Little expensive but we enjoy the out doors and like to capture alot of neat stuff. Plus we have a son now and it doesn't hurt to have a camera that takes great shots and worth every penny.
