Well, I'm "kinda" back........I'm out in the bush working for a week now:???:. Wife and kids are still on VA someplace. I think I've spent 2 sleeps in my own bed in the last 5 weeks.
It all started with a 3 week trip in to our cabin, 16km ATV ride through HELL to get to the lake this yr. Holly cow it was wet on the way in, probably the worst I've seen the trails in the last 25yrs. My oldest daughter opted to drive her Argo in, which was both a blessing and a curse.........5.5hrs to travel the 16km. Once we got there, we had fantastic weather, in 3 weeks, we only had 2 slightly rainy days, and just enough windy days to get the sailboat out ripping a few times. Kids had a blast, Waterskiing, Kneeboarding, tubing, fishing, Kayaking and swimming, ect. Also had a chance to fly mom out to visit us for a couple weekends (Restock supplies), got to go out shooting a few times, even came across a baby MINK. Now that was cool, I picked it up (It appeared to be stunned, in the middle of the trail), it was very friendly, kids got to pet it, when it recovered from whatever happened, I let it go off the trail. I brought a SeaDoo out to the lake this past winter, now that thing rips.......Up to 70mph untill I sucked up a nice rock and hammered the Imp and wear ring, lol. Another thing that "rips", is the fuel through this thing, I burt almost 30 cans of gas just playing around. Had to have extra fuel dropped off for us, and made several fuel runs to my truck. I have a huge Bald Eagle feather collection, and managed to add quite a bit to it this trip, too. Wife and kids are getting more comfortable on the Hobie Cat, I even managed to get Diane out sailing in some pretty brisk winds.
Anyway, I'm trying not to write a book here. I do have quite a few vids that I intend to post, and hope they will speak for me. After the trip to our cabin, we bolted down south to a place called Gavin Lake, the kids spent a week in "Fiddle Camp". I spent the week catching Rainbows in the lake, and wife spent time trying to keep up with the kids fiddle lessons, lol.
My intent here is to make this thread rediculously pic and vid heavy, but it will be over a couple weeks. Too much to do, and so little time.
This vid is a general overview of some of the things we got into, it has a few pics in it as well. Mostly short, quick looks at some of our activities. I intend to add some more specific vids later.
Vid is a little long, but it moves quick

This is a look at the first time I took my wife out in a bit of a heavy wind with the Hobie Cat. It didn't take long and she was at the wheel ripping across the lake
