I have the primus, but I just recently switched to the MSR pocket rocket for lighter weight.

These propane butane stoves are not as good as a liquid white gas stove for high altitude, but you don't have to mess with the risk of fuel spillage.
I usually take more than needed and have never got it down to a tee yet.

I know that I can use two full 220g containers in 7 days for two people. That is for boiling enough water for breakfasts with tea, freeze dried lunch with tea and freeze dried supper with tea. (X2)

Keeping in mind I do not fry, warm, or simmer so I only use for boiling enough water for what I need.

To help get optimum use out of your fuel, try sliding the fuel canister into your sleeping bag with you for the night.

For a 10 day hunt I might be inclined to be on the safe side by taking one small 220g and a large 450g.
