As far as I know, there is no kokanee in there - just rainbows.

was just wondering if anyone has fished for them in this lake or has had success, they have stocked the lake 15000(fry) in 2009 2010 and this year including this year

Not that far from there in Mizzazzula the lake is full of Kokanee. Watched them spawning a couple years back in late Oct right under the rec site dock.

Alleyne is a good flyfishing lake. Try leech patterns and maybe a sparsely tied Muddler Minnow on a medium density sinking line.

Last weekend i was up at kentucky alleyne. I fished kentucky but not allyene. there wasnt much action for any body. i was up for 2 full days and only caught 4 with leeches and wooly buggers (all rainbows). All of them at night. I also didnt have my sinking line and there was defintly way more action on the bottom.

cheers

great info, looks like the kind of lake suited to family camping along with good fishing. Hard to find that combination with clear water for swimming and good fishing! Sure looks good on Google Earth.

My Dad and Mom work up there. If you ask the old man he will let you know. Just might need some time on your hands, he likes to bs.
