It works well until you get too low down, then the distinction disappears. Takes a few minutes to play and learn, but you'll get it.

Hey Folks...I downloaded kmz file from this post, but I also downloaded a different one from somewhere else that outlines the MU's and neither this one, or the old one work; all I get is a big red X when viewing. Does anyone know why this is? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Here's the link to the real source, I've posted this link several times.

http://archive.ilmb.gov.bc.ca/dm/wms/

For wildlife management units, connect to the Wildlife and Plant Species group;

For private land, connect to the Land Ownership and Status group, then look for the Integrated Cadastral fabric layer within that;

For grazing leases, look for the Crown Leases layer in the Land Ownership and Status group (this shows all eases, not just grazing);

for Indian Reserves and Municipalities connect to the Administrative Boundaries group;

for various base data (water features, contours, etc), connect to the Base Mapping and TRIM group.

Slinky's link might be giving people problems if it is linking to an old URL that has been changed. Usually the big red arrow means a dead link. If you link from the Gov site directly you'll have that happen less often. Might also be a current server problem.

The link to the government site was down today for a while. It seems to be up and running again now. My file just links back to that same site... I just made a version that doesn't have all the other data in it.

I can say that one of those links has always worked for me, the one where the GE shortcut points to http://openmaps.gov.bc.ca/mapserver/... HOWEVER some time on Saturday morning it quit working, and checking now it still isn't back up, and I have no clue why.
