Just looking at the reg's. I don't see any general open season for Grizzly in region 6. Is this a LEH hunt? If not, how is it legal?

all Grizzly hunts are LEH, he had stated that he had a draw in 6-17.

You shouted a moose to death, and from 500 yards no less...? you must have a loud voice. ;)

You had just be very careful if you are a first time grizz hunter...one little mistake and you'll be the hunted. Try using an [elk/deer] in distress call to attract them...and leave a slice of bacon under your hunt partners bag for insurance at night...good luck!!
