Anybody know the snow situation up there right now? Heading up to do some alpine scouting on the long weekend, planning on an over nighter but thinking there's still a bit of snow up there right now.

Brrrrrrr! That will make for some cold August camping! Doing a hike up at Mt Scaia, Galloping Hills, Lightening peak. Top of the Granby drainage. Any thoughts?

The temp increased from 2 to 20 deg C in less than an hour when the sun briefly made an appearance. Then the temp crashed and it hailed for half an hour, it was beautiful.

Yup.the north face of the Hunters Range still has plenty of snow.Last week the big griz I was looking for in May was still leaving his tracks way down low. Gunner

With the cold spring and cold summer, you can bet more than just the griz is leaving his tracks down low. Scout lower boys. The highcountry will hold very few bucks compared to years past. Too much lush everywhere to force them high.
