My buddy and I were sitting quietly watching a cow moose pick her way through a cut block this morning. All of a sudden there was a loud snort from the bush and the cow bolted away. A few minutes later this guy wanders out of the misty background and eventually came to within 50 yards of us. We watched him for about 15 minutes before he finally wandered back off into the mist.

Nice looking character buck. Hard to say how much better his forks will get once he's done but I'm willing to bet a lot of those bumps will be well over an inch when he's hard horned. Great pics. I really like the last one.

Thanks for the compliment. I use a Pentax K7 with a Sigma 50-500 lens. Then I tricked it up with a red dot sight and a rifle mount

Here's what it looks like. The setup makes it real good for taking pictures of fast moving critters.

That buck could potentially grow ALOT before September, definitly worth keeping an eye on, what elevation did you see him at?

It will be interesting to see how big he ends up getting.... and I SURE plan on finding out!

He was at about 4500'. Here's another pic of him.

If you want to see him up close an personal, try this link.
