Fort nelson area

Going up Fort Nelson area for aug 15 moose-Been hunting lower for many years but gas activity has chased us away.Have some idea from maps ,google earth etc but would appreciate any local knowledge on basic direction to explore-no specifics requested or necessary but general direction would be nice.Looking for moose and elk would be added bonus.
p.s.- before anyone jumps on my back for asking-have done my share of helping others in p.m.'s

The luyben mainline is no longer maintained since the mills have closed. Do you intend to bring a quad or just a pick up? Most clear cuts have grown up considerably in that time also. Still a decent area to hunt, but be prepared to get off the beaten path. Not all moose are shot from the logging road! Steamboat mainline was a good area too, until they deactivated the road by removing bridges and culverts. If you want more info, feel free to fire me a pm, I live in Fort Nelson, btw.4
