I have a black bear hide that is over ten years old and
the hide has been sweating now. does any one know how to stop that from happening.

sounds as if the bear hide was only salted and never completely tanned,,,

Even so, if salted properly, where is the moisture coming from ?
Is the sweat actually water or oils ?
degreasing with naptha may help

how is it stored? tanned or salted hides will draw moisture in from the air. tanned hides should be stored in somewhat climate controlled areas, no garages or sheds.

try putting it on the wall opposite your computer. Then see if the mould problem goes away.
