It's always worth going fishing! But the water is rising again and they are forecasting the highest water in 5+ years. There will not be any bars out there to fish from and the water will be mud..

Maybe in 3-4 weeks....

When does or did it open? The test fishery in Albion had 4 and 7 in their two sets yesterday. The first day with more than a couple fish in a set. Today was 0 and 1. It would be hit and miss. If you know your spots, you should do ok. Watch how they do this week and base it on that.

With the test fishery, I don't believe it is at its most effective with the water being so high and fast. A lot of fish are probably getting past.

Fraser opens on Saturday. There are max size restrictions until the end of July I believe.

As stated above, always worth going to wet a line......:-D.... that being said, with the height of the river now, the big surge of water coming down from George and the small slot size of fish allowed to be kept..... well I for one would rather tinker with my boat, get the camper ready for fall and go and do some shooting.....

Just my opinion!!

Has anyone given the vedder a shot?

Creek mouths might be a possibility - but the way the Fraser is raging, I wouldn't want to be boating in it right now. I've heard the Vedder was kicking out a few fish last week. Keep your eyes on the reports from Fred's: http://www.fredscustomtackle.com/Fishing-Report_ep_77.html
