Question for all you fly tiers

Hey everyone,

I have a question for all you fly tiers like me out there.

Do you have any spare tying tools, materials, etc etc anything from bodkins to whip finishers, vices, bobbins etc etc?

I am wondering as I am working with a group for http://www.projecthealingwaters.ca (http://www.projecthealingwaters.org/)

They are always in need of tools, materials etc,. We work with War vets who have suffered severe injury's and PTSD.

If you already donate to a cause then that is perfectly fine but I am trying to expand and gather what I can for these men and women. You can either send it to me or I can give you the address of the person who runs the program for our area. I will make sure its shown that members from HBC have donated.

Might I suggest that flys are also great to donate as Project Healing Waters takes ALOT of these soldiers on fishing trips and always need flys to use.

hunterm, like wild images says he has extras from hides , all other taxidermists have extras also . check with them ,i am sure they would be glad to help you out.

I belong to a fly fishing club and am going to mention this at a meeting to see if anyone else wants to ante up some stuff---maybe others who belong to fly fishing or Fish & Game clubs could mention it at meetings too! :-D~echo

So here is the deal. This guy hunterm aka waterskeeter aka caraboo87 aka hayseed12 has been a pretty busy guy. Here is what Ive been able to find so far http://albertasportsman.com/general-fishing/some-fly-patterns-to-share/ Im sure theres quite a story on CGN but I dont have the patience to look.

He still owes at least one member on this site that ive been able to find out. I highly doubt his intentions are legit. Buyer or seller beware......

BTW, there has been a guy going around using my usernames, personal name etc and selling items and even trying to sell drugs on the internet...Authorities are involved and we are actually working together on this. So go ahead and say what you want. I have many people that have bought from me with NO issues. Easy to take what one person says and pass it along but have you yourself had issues with me? please speak up....you wanna know why I change users? becasue there is 1 guy, the one that is being watched and tracked by authorities harassing me....Say what you want, I know whats true and know who my friends are. You naysayers are dirt off my shoulder.

The switching of names is part of the problem. He sells something(mostly flies) then doesn't produce a product to the buyer. After he f@cks enough people over he switches user names and starts over. Five websites that I know of so far, all with the same problem.

It is starting to catch up to him...

Interesting - I`m glad I saw this thread before i was tempted to make a purchase. Just out of curiosity though, isn`t anyone using paypal for these sort of deals? You`d get your money back in a case like this, and their fee is relatively cheap insurance against scam artists.
