I lived at the 50 and although never had the new owners at the 150 Meats do any custom work for me I did buy lots of bacon and sausage from them and it was always very good.

Who do you use or recommend for cooler space up that way Steven? Don't need them to do any cutting necessarily, and definitely no ground/sausage,though I guess it would be okay to get it deboned if they do have a quick turn around.

to the best of my knowlege there is no place to just hang moose...they all have limited space for the $$$$ full cutting customers..

Beckers meats, I would not go there. I got my deer jerky from him and I could taste the smell of the butcher shop in the meat. Huge turn off. I would not take it there again.

I've talked to the new owners of 150 Mile Meats a few times, and they told me the following:

- Fully de-boned meat only;
- Will hold all fall game in the freezer until they have time to process in Jan/Feb when they are less busy (it's just a husband-wife combo and they are busy with Thanksgiving and getting ready for the December holiday season);
- Will not cut and wrap, only make sausage, etc. (not that that's a bad thing).

I have not used them yet, but hope to have them make some nice moose bratwursts for me this year. I think they are German (but have been in Canada for quite a while), the lady told me they moved from Canmore, AB a few years ago.

The folks in Horsefly are Franz and Silvia Laffer, really good people they even let us use their tractor and hose to wash down any left over hair on our meat, and were willing to bring down our meat to lillooet as they had business to do in town at that time which was convenient.
