Rocksteady, thanks for the info.

Just one correction to be made - the guy who has Kootenay Archery is Kevin Evans, not Adams. If his business phone doesn't get him, his home number (his shop is at his home) is 429 3514.

He is an awesome shot and will bend over backwards to help you out with your equipment or provide any equipment you need.

looking for butcher in the area from Cranbrook to Invermere. I've read great things about Kimberly sausage and meats, but I'm a little confused as to their location. Some say its at 315 Wallinger Ave, others say 3433 McGinty Rd... so which is it?

Also, anyone heard anything good or bad about Konig Meat and Sausage in Invermere?

Kimberley meats is on Mcginty. konig meats terrible. Also Cliffs meats in Kimberley and Gwinners meats also in Kimberley

Could elaborate on why Koenig's is bad? May be my only option for my hunt this coming week.

You won't get all your animal back.

okay...steering clear of konig...

i assume Cliff's and Gwinner are both good? fair pricing?
I'd be looking for both hanging and cutting, and I'm assuming that hanging fees are usually waived if they're doing the cutting...

Don't forget Carlos meats just outside Cranbrook. Don't have his number. Went there this year n he was awesome. That's coming from Me a butcher from the past.

Gwinners and Cliffs are awesome to deal with with decent turn around times

Cliffs is great, real nice guy and makes good sausages. He`s about 10 miles out from Kimberley on the way to Ta Ta Creek. Just don`t show up drunk, his wife used to be the Seargent of the RCMP here.

Gwinners runs about $1 per pound. Good cutter.

Cliff is slowly retiring and only cuts domestic. His helper Will, does all of the wild meat. Not a fan of wills product.

Have used every butcher except Ernie at Kimberley meats. Gwinners is the best so far

You won't get all your animal back.
Is your bad experience with the new or old owner.
Could you explain more, you took in 4 quarters and only got 3 back, they kept the bones, the hide.

Will is no longer at cliffs meats. He was terrible. Cliff is about to retire. However there's a young couple taking over with in the year. And they are doing game cutting.

Good to know..

I did not want to throw Will under the bus on a public forum like this.. so I kept it subtle
