Had pods of whales rolling by us on Mayne Island last week constantly; finally jumped in the boat and figured I should test out my "new" camera....still carry the owners manual with me so they are not as good as I was hoping. :tongue:

Haha......give me a couple of weeks; Tofino, Barkley and hopefully Nootka before finishing the season in Kyuquot in mid-August. Mayne Island was mostly just relaxing....hangin' with the "oddball Gulf Island folk" :shock:.

The boat I had didn't have downriggers and the fishing for salmon seemed pretty slow around Active Pass; did zip to the east to my old stompin' grounds and picked up some lings.
