What kind of camera are you using? We have 3 of the Reconyx RC60 that shoots 1080p pictures and video. I've had mine set up on and off shooting pictures and video since the Summer of 2010 and still have over 50% battery life. I'm using Energizer Lithium batteries. The quality of photos and videos are second to none.

It'll depend on the cam how long the batteries last. Some cams will last a yr others a couple days

Try adjusting the length of video. Or putting in a bigger sd card if you can.

16gb will hold plenty of video. I've got two 8gb compact flash cards and swap them when I check my cameras. If your videos are long and you have the trigger firing as soon as the previous one is finished it will no doubt eat up your memory fairly quickly.

Not familiar with trophy cams but my cam depending on the size of sd and camera setting will tell you how many pics or vids it'll hold
