Conuma River Bow Zone

Hi all, was wondering if any bow hunters have hunted the conuma valley in recent years. My hunting partner got a Sept. draw for a bull there so we're trying to get a jump on things. As we're from the interior a scouting trip isn't going to happen until we are there for the hunt. Any info. on access, current logging shows, elk numbers, etc. would be appreciated. Not looking for which tree they're behind although that would be good, ha ha, just trying to get a feel for the area. Thanks.

Its really steep and really thick. You will know you have been on a bow hunt. Or, you may get one on the road. Good luck.

The trick is to spot from as high up as you can get and then figure out how to get close. Its so thick these days you can't see into the clear cuts from the road.
