The moose in this area is a long pack from the road and the g bears are in the thick stuff in sept along by the creeks and rivers and up higher in early oct. My wife killed a 8' bear with a 23 3/4'' skull a few spings back.Good luck and make sure you bring a big billy tag

No never been before ! Also had the grizz draw 2 years ago ..but everyone jambs out at the last min ! how about you? Iv'e planned to go up for the last four years = I'm using my 7mm 175 nosler partitions =for longer shots on moose, if needed and any decent shot on mr. G-bear ! As far as packing goes ...I'm a machine -I packed my west kootenays elk by my self up hill through the shit burn & blow downs, from 830am to 4pm =doen't phase me ...it's a yearly occurence -guiding,solo, or with buddy's
If the moose is big enough to shoot ! I'll pack it from just about anywhere !

Gun caliber definitely on the small end of the scale if your going solo. Might want to take something along with a little more "thump" for once you have a moose down and turn yourself into a walking bait pile for 8 round trips with 100+ lbs through the 14' willows. It can be done.....good luck.
