Moving to Castlegar need some info on the area

well i am moving to castlegar at the end of august, and just curious if anyone would share some info on areas to findme some meat for the freezer or some decent waterfowl areas. thanx for any info

Castlegar .... Arrow Lake east MU 4-15
Try deer hunting for both mules and whites reached from Hwy 6 between Fauquier and Nakusp along the northern portion.
And .. MU 4-08 the road from Nelway which runs along the Pend Oreille River to come out on Hwy 22 at the Waneta border crossing into the U.S. of A.
And .. Mu 4-09 .. Hunt from the old Hwy 3, the Santa Rosa summit road, which runs west from Rossland. Big mules in here.
That will keep you busier than a one leg gid soccer player ..

Or, you can try north. Anywhere north of Castlegar. White tail population is getting out of control. Hunting pressure is way down. Open season on does for a month. Bring a few friends. !
