Winchester`s wildlife pics

I decided to start a thread of all my wildlife pics for your enjoyment. I'm not a pro but I am outdoors a lot so I try to always have my camera handy when hiking or driving. I will post pics as I get them and I will throw up some of my old favourites as well. You may have seen a few before but I will try to keep new ones coming as I take them. Hope you all enjoy them.

I saw the Mom and cubs and they were very nervous but not because of me. This big blackie was following them around. Hoping to make a meal of one of the babies.

Well you may not be a pro, but these are very good pictures. The beaver images, the first and second deer images are definitely pro quality. Keep it up!

What type of camera do you use and any special lense's. Great quality photos. I only wish my photos looked that good.

Every one loves a nice beaver shot. I was amazed how hardcore the beavers are. They cruise right up the middle of the rapids grabbing on to the river bottom. This family of beavers showed up last year and one year later the river bank has been cleared of almost all the trees in the area. Pretty amazing what they can do. Thanks for the comments, lots of fun being out there and seeing all the wildlife. Here are some more, some posted before and a few new ones.

What type of camera do you use and any special lense's. Great quality photos. I only wish my photos looked that good.
I'm using a Pentax K200D and a older Pentax smc-fa 80-320mm tele lens. The camera was $600 new two years ago so $600 now will get a lot more advanced technology. Pentax are great cameras for fishing and hunting as they are completely sealed from the elements. The WR series(weather resistant) lenses are water and dust proof. I want a better quality telephoto lens but they retail for around $1300.00 and trying to find a used one is impossible. Its hard to justify spending that these days when $60 gives me just over 1/2 a tank of gas.

It was a cow in the grasslands near Tunkwa Lake a few years ago. I love the photo, it looks like it could be from Africa, but with beetle kill! Glad you like 'em.
