Moose And Grouse..

Saw this bull moose just before Friday creek out side Princeton ,this grouse woke me up with his mating call at 6am..

Hunter1947 wasnt it just you that got mad at a lady for stopping on the road to look at a cute bear and theres you videoing a moose. So funny. Im just kidding. I quess it pays to be on the road early. I was also going thru that area on sunday and i just saw 1 small bear in Manning Park. Luckily noone was pulled over looking at the bear as it was in a corner of the hwy. I hope your trip in the new car was good.

Nature Girl LOL your right I did stop right in the middle of the road for this moose and yes I do have the movie camera by my side at all times.

I was at the end of a long straight away and could see a long ways behind me for traffic approaching or I would have not of filmed this moose the barriers would not allow me to pull over as you can see in the movie clip like I said I was well aware of my surroundings at the time :wink: :)..

Yes this is a blue grouse he has a red bump above his eyes and makes his matting call with his glands on each side of his upper neck just below the head ,a ruffle grouse does his matting call with his wings he starts out slow flapping his wings then increases his wings to a hi speed then stops..

Franklins or spruce have red blues have yellow am I wrong?

You are correct. Yellow on blues. Red on franklins (spruce).
