Loon Lake Black Bears this Year?

Hey, just wondering if anyone has had any luck at Loon lake with the bears. I got a cabin up there and have never gone for bears before, thinking of switching it up.

Loon lake in region 3 closes tomorrow so unless you are going tomorrow you are going to have to wait till the fall.

I know, this is just for future reference. I haven't seen many hunters take bears while I've been up there, looking to get into it. Loon Lake in region 3 is the one I am talking of.

If you are talking about the one in 3-30 I've only seen a handful of bears there. If you are going there just for bear I'd say your wasting your time better off going somewhere else.

I've been there a bunch in the last 4 years and I've never seen a bear or scat or sign. People don't seem to bear-proof their garbage either.

Lots of bear around. You just have to know where to look. The cuts around hi-hium and towards deadman is a good start.
